Bowl Cut

My good friend Christopher Love cut my hair on Thursday night! I am so glad I cut it because it was starting to get out of control and I was getting annoyed.  I have been wanting rounded bangs for a while, and finally I have them.I still want to dye my hair a really dark brown or black but it's still really hot here in Austin.

 

I am anxious for fall/winter! More black, busting out my boot collection, using my rad winter coat from Topshop, and dark hair.

 I've decided that even though it is so fucking hot here in Austin, it's Fall and I am going to wear my Fall clothes! They are my favorite items, everything is dark and textured and layering is a must! 

Plus, I have tons of new scarves from Prague that I can't wait to start wearing again. 

Last night I wore my oversized black shirt (Metropark), AA leggings, & deep red leather boots (vintage). I love those boots so much! I got them in McAllen at Anita's Antiques. Anita is a really rad lady who I used to take lunch to during my lunch breaks in high school and we'd sit and eat and talk about business and then she'd give me a bunch of free clothes haha. I've gotten so many wonderful things from her (including a fur coat that I have yet to wear), so most of my closet consists of clothes from her store. I miss it! 

I'm letting my hair dye fade to a lighter purple right now. It's still really bold, but not as bright as it used to be.

HYPE HEADZ got a weekly at Black and Tan for the month of October! It's going to be every Friday and the first show is going to be the Tummy Toast video release party. We are all really excited about it and hope you all can keep coming and dancing and supporting us!

Vain Vanity

Lately I have been feeling quite lethargic with my wardrobe. I recently was awarded extra cash from financial aid, so I felt the urge to shop. I didn't buy too many things today, since I want to really make this money stretch and not spend it all in one weekend, but I am really happy with things I purchased!

I have been wanting a vanity for a really long time and I found one at this really great thrift store last week! It was only $95 and I plan on reuposlering the stool and changing out the handles later on. 





Now all I need is a small chandelier to hang overhead for some good light.

My friend, Christopher Love, was in NYC for a week and bought me this really rad gold and rhinestone spider!



I love it!

Today, I went shopping with Jordyne. We bought make-up and I got this really rad black shirt that is sewn in a unique way.





I really like it because it's really thin and comfortable and loose. And black.



I acid washed some old black jeans the other day. They didn't come out quite as I wanted them to, but they look rad none the less!

Oh ya, last week I received my issue of REVUE, the German magazine that I was asked to be a part of last year. Mitchell took the pictures for me.








It was a nice surprise to get it! I didn't think I was ever going to receive it! Sorry I don't have a scanner to scan the pages :[

I really need to buy and external hard drive. I am torn between these two:

250 GB

OR (my personal fave)


500GB

I don't know which one to choose! They are both reasonably priced (approx. $160), so that's not an issue. I really want the gold one (duh!) but I'm not to enthusiastic about the power adapter...any thoughts or suggestions?

New Blog!

I have begun my last year of college! One of my classes requires a production blog in order for our professor to be able to view and evaluate our assignments. So, if you notice under GEMZ on the right-hand side of this blog there is a new link: http://caitlindiaz.blogspot.com .

I am glad my class requires a production blog because this now lets me showcase my work on a blog specified for it! Most of the work on there will be related to my Motion Graphics and Visual Effects class, but I will also be using the blog for my other production classes as well. Now I don't have to feel bad about cluttering this fashion blog with news and updates and samplers of my work! So please check it out once I have some work on there and let me know what you all think!

I have TONS of fashion insight to share with you all, but I am on my hour break between classes so I don't have time at the moment! Soon to come: bleached black jeans, gothic Virgin Mary hoodies, spider necklaces, coveted Nikes/Vans, and neo-goth looks for every season!
